Exciting projects on the horizon

Hunters Hill is set for upgraded and new community facilities and public assets this financial year, following the adoption of the Community Strategic Plan suite of documents. They outline the Council’s long-term vision and goals for the next decade.
The suite of documents includes the Community Strategic Plan 2025–2035, the Delivery Program 2025-2029 and the Operational Plan 2025 -2026 – which features the Capital Works Program.
Councillors endorsed the Operational Plan with a projected budgeted income for this financial year at almost $26.8 million, and expenditure predicted to be $24.8 million.
The 2025-2026 Capital Works Program is valued at almost $8.6 million, including several projects that the community can look forward to, including the construction of the new Gladesville Reserve Multisport Facility.
This state-of-the-art facility will feature a multipurpose hall, a servery kiosk, publicly accessible amenities, inclusive sports changerooms, and storage areas. It is designed to accommodate a variety of sports and community activities and inviting residents of all ages to participate. This project is being funded by the $1.9 million grant from the NSW Office of Sport, Level the Playing Field Program.
Coming soon to Figtree Park are new additions, including a public amenities block, inclusive playground equipment, and additional tables and park furniture.
Other notable projects include the implementation of the Boronia Park Local Area Traffic Management Plan to reduce rat running & enhance safety, a new amenities block at Bedlam Bay, the grand opening of the new Bedlam Bay swim site and upgrades to the Boronia Park South playground.
