Bin Service Options

Residential waste bins come in a few different sizes:

• General Rubbish (Red) -  80L, 120L or 240L
• Paper and Cardboard (Blue) - 120L or 240L
• Recycling (Yellow) - 120L or 240L
• Garden Organics (Green) - 240L

The size of your red bin will alter the rates payable for your property. The yellow, blue and green bins are complementary with the red bin service - the size of the recycling/green waste bins has no bearing on the Rates payable.

The following Rates charges apply for the range of bins sizes (all values are per financial year):

Domestic 80L Red Bin Service = $427.22

Domestic 120L Red Bin Service = $624.81

Domestic 240L Red Bin Service = $907.84

If you acquire an additional red bin service, you will be charged the full amount as per the above values, however you will also be entitled to receive a complementary additional bin of each other colour. Individual (additional) yellow, blue or green waste bins each incur an additional Rates charge of $170.89 (per financial year).

If you require a larger bin or if you wish to downsize your bins, you do this online at anytime. 

Upgrade or Downgrade Bins

You can also request additional bins online. It's important to understand that additional bins will be charged as an increase to your rates.
