The size of your red bin will alter the rates payable for your property. The yellow, blue and green bins are complementary with the red bin service. The size of the yellow or blue bins has no bearing on the total rates payable.
The following Rates charges apply for the range of bins sizes (all values are per financial year):
If you require an additional red bin service, you will be charged the full amount as per the above values. You will also be entitled to receive a complementary additional bin of yellow, blue and green bins if required.
Each individual additional yellow, blue or green bin will each incur an additional Rates charge of $187.32 (correct for 2025-26 financial year).
If you require a larger bin or if you wish to downsize your bins, you can do this online at any time.
Upgrade or Downgrade Bins
You can also request additional bins online. It's important to understand that additional bins will be charged as an increase to your rates.
