The Rotary Club of Hunters Hill in partnership with the Hunter's Hill Council is organising the 2026 Hunters Hill Spring Garden Competition, which is this year proudly sponsored by Binet Homes.
This popular annual celebration aims to encourage local garden enthusiasts to showcase their skills and creativity with 10 categories in the competition.
It offers residents and families a unique opportunity to display their gardening talents and hard work, both in public and private spaces and help raise funds for the maintenance of the historic Hillman Orchard, located beside Vienna Cottage in Alexandra Street, Hunters Hill.
Competition entries will open on Monday 3 August and close on Monday 28 September. Get in early to secure your preferred judging date.

An Awards Evening will take place on Thursday 15 October from 5.30pm at the Boronia Parks Sports and Community Facility and the Open Garden Day will take place on Sunday 1 November from 10am, commencing at the Hunters Hill Town Hall Forecourt for ticket purchases, registrations and collection of armbands that will give you access to the open gardens.
Online tickets for the Open Garden Day will be available to purchase closer to the date.

There will be ten (10) categories within the competition.
Entries is FREE for all residents living within the Hunters Hill municipality.

All entrants will receive:
Prizes for winning gardens include plaques, vouchers, gardening accessories and plants. Thank you to Green Space Partner who have donated a Husqvarna lawn mower prize.
Competition entries will open Saturday 1 August and close on Monday 28 September.
Judging will take place in the following week, with the Awards Evening on Thursday 15 October from 5.30pm at the Boronia Park Sports and Community Facility. The Awards Evening will feature guest speakers Sandra and Graham Ross AO. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
An Open Day will be held on Sunday 1 November from 10am until 3.30pm, commencing from the Hunters Hill Town Hall. Residents will be invited to view the winning gardens as well as other beautiful showcase gardens in the municipality, not entered in the competition.
Judging will take place from 6-9 October.
