Fern Road Reserve

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, Fern Road Reserve offers a secluded escape.  Enveloped in shade and offering a fantastic vantage point for enjoying the view of the Parramatta River and the Gladesville Bridge; this reserve is a gem. If you intend to sit and relax, you may want to bring your own blankets/chairs, as there is no seating provided.

Photo is of the entrance pathway and sign as seen from the street. The sign is positioned to the left of the access pathway, which is on the right side of the frame. Behind the entrance sign is dense vegetation that is very tall (several metres) and occupies the vast majority of the shot. The road is just barely within frame and there is some sunlight distortion in the bottom left corner..

Photo is of a small dirt pathway that leads further down into Fern Rd Reserve. There are a number of slender palm tree trunks in the middle of the frame, in the fore and mid grounds. There are also several other trees with divergent trunks. Surrounding the trees are lush fern bushes aswell as lots of fallen leaves charmingly strewn over the bushfloor. The water can be observed through the trees and is bright and inviting thanks to the bright sunlight.

Photo is of a well shaded area with lush grass and plants. To the right of frame is heavy vegetation, to the left of frame is the grass, and towards the centre and extending across the background line is the water, which appears calm, with apartments situated on the other shoreline.

Photo shows the Parramatta River as the primary subject. The foreground of the middle of the frame contains a set of concrete steps which extend down to the water. In the mid ground, to the left of the the base of the steps, is a charming tree which has a slight lean to the right. Flanking either side of the pathway are ferns and bushscrub, with what appears to be a junior tree taking root on the right side. In the far background, towards the left side of the frame, across the other side of the river, is the Gladesville Bridge and apartments. To the right of the frame are Hunters Hill waterfront homes and sailing boats.
