Thank you to all the volunteers who stepped up this Clean Up Australia Day and helped remove litter from our beautiful urban bushland.

Clean Up Australia Day was held in Gladesville Reserve and Riverglade Reserve on Sunday 3 March 2024.

At Gladesville Reserve - 17 volunteers including 1st Hunters Hill Scout Group covered all around the Reserve, Betts Park, foreshore beaches, Huntleys Point Road and Victoria Road adjoining Riverside Girls High. They collected 11 bags of mixed waste materials and 9 bags of recyclable containers/bottles.

At Riverglade Reserve – 4 volunteers covered all around the Reserve including Tarban Creek. They collected a few bags of mixed waste material and recyclable containers/bottles.

We also extend our thanks to the community members who regularly pick up rubbish which resulted in the total rubbish collected being less than the previous years. The Return and Earn container recycling scheme also continues to benefit the community, with far fewer of these items collected on the day.
