Tarban Creek Action Group

Focusing on Tarban Creek (tributary of the Parramatta River), The Tarban Creek Action Group are a friendly and experienced bunch with excellent local knowledge and a passion for environmental conservation. Their dedicated work in the field of weed/non-native flora removal is a key component of maintaining and building upon the wonderful achievements of the greater nature corridor projects.

Tarban Creek hosts a magnificent mangrove wetland, within which a wonderful array of native wildlife find sanctuary. The wetlands also play a key role in preventing soil erosion, as well as assisting with water purification.
