Gladesville Masterplan update

At its meeting on Monday 28 April, Council endorsed a report about the Planning Proposal for the Gladesville Masterplan, to begin the formal consultation and assessment process.

The Planning Proposal will now be forwarded to the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure seeking gateway determination in accordance with section 3.34 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

If the gateway determination is approved, Council will then place the Planning Proposal on public exhibition in order to seek feedback from the community before finalising it.

These planning changes are designed to deliver a new supermarket, expanded community facilities, increased housing opportunities, improved pedestrian connectivity, and a vibrant night-time economy.  

Council's vision is for a sustainable and accessible Gladesville that meets the needs of the community while preserving the unique character of the municipality.
