Collingwood Street Reserve

This area has historically been overrun with giant invasive Camphor Laurel trees, as well as many vines and shrubs. Appreciating the potential of the site, the locals banded together to create the Collingwood Street Reserve Bushcare Group and are now engaged in significant transformative improvements within the area. Their excellent efforts have been paying off greatly, with native groundcovers now making a healthy return!

This site offers volunteers the opportunity to learn and practice various bushcare techniques, whilst assisting with the clearing of any remaining weeds that may still remain. Their efforts in re-establishing native plants are of key importance to supporting the return of avian/terrestrial wildlife communities.

This Bushcare group meets on the Second Sunday of each month at 9.00am.
