Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee
All NSW Councils are required to have an Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC). The role of the Committee is to provide independent assurance and advice to Council on risk management, internal control, governance and external accountability.
ARIC meet quarterly, with an additional meeting each year to review the annual financial year.
ARIC consists of Council staff members and three independent members who are suitably qualified.
