Council is hosting a planting day at Boronia Park as part of National Tree Day – Australia's largest tree planting and nature care event.
Get involved and help us plant 300 trees, shrubs and native grasses and groundcovers to enhance an important biodiversity corridor link along the Lane Cove River.
This corridor is home to small passerine birds such as Fairy wrens, Silvereyes, Red-browed finches and White-browed scrub wrens. The native grasses and groundcovers will provide foraging resources for these birds.
No experience is necessary. All tools and gloves will be provided.
All you need to bring is a hat, water, suitable clothing and closed-in footwear. Please wear sunscreen.
The meeting point will be at the corner of Park Road and High Street.
