Council is in the process of upgrading the current physical parking permits to digital permits. Residents who are eligible for resident parking permits for Area W1 will no longer be issued with a physical permit to display on their vehicle. For those who visit Clarkes Point and Buffalo Creek reserves, a card will not be issued for use in the parking meter to display a ticket on their vehicle.

Under the digital permit system, the number plate information as supplied by the applicant will be stored on a database as a digital permit. Council Enforcement Officers will have access to this information to validate the permit through handheld devices.
