Hunters Hill Council is well served by public transport, particularly for commuters to the Sydney CBD. The main transport services in Sydney (buses and ferries) are all available options for local residents and workers.


There are numerous bus routes through the Hunters Hill Municipality, many giving direct connection to the Sydney CBD. These include 506, 505. Other local bus routes from Gladesville to Chatswood via Hunters Hill 536 and Gladesville to Woolwich 538.


The two main ferry wharves that are serviced by Sydney Ferries in our Municipality are at Huntleys Point Wharf and Woolwich Wharf.

On demand public transport

New on demand public transport services allow you to book a vehicle to pick you up from a convenient location and take you to a local transport hub or point of interest. It’s easy to book using an app, online or by phone. For more information on these services please visit Transport for NSW.

In this Council area the On Demand public transport is operated by Transit Systems’ BRIDJ service. Transit Systems also provide the conventional bus services in this area. For additional information and to get started please visit the BRIDJ website or download the app.
