At an Ordinary Meeting held on 16 May 2022, Council resolved to amend and re-exhibit a draft Community Engagement Strategy, with the following changes to the document:
a) Increases the levels of IAP2 Spectrum engagement given in the second column to a minimum of ‘Inform, consult’;
b) For ‘Activities’ requiring submissions to State Government, Council ‘Inform, consult and involve’ the community in a meaningful way prior to that submission; and
c) The Strategy be amended, including the last paragraph of page 12, to be consistent with these amendments.
The purpose of the draft Community Engagement Strategy is to update Council’s existing Community Engagement Strategy to meet NSW Office of Local Government Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Guidelines as well as to provide a robust framework in which to engage with our community.
