The Draft Policy for the Protection and Maintenance of Kerbs, Gutters and Sandstone Elements provides policies for the procedures that need to be considered for the repair and maintenance of sandstone kerbs, gutters, crossovers, steps and associated paving, to be undertaken in the Hunters Hill municipality.

It, also, provides induction procedures for contractors and Council staff engaged in the execution of this and associated work.

The objective is to ensure that extant sandstone elements within the public areas of Hunters Hill are retained, protected and conserved as being significant and intrinsic to the heritage, streetscape and the character of the Municipality.

The draft policy is on public exhibition until 24 May 2021.
