What makes Hunters Hill LGA a special place is the people. Our community are passionate, active and proud.

Hunter’s Hill Council is joining with our community to celebrate those heroes who go above and beyond.

Nominations are being called for in four categories:

Citizen of the Year

Any resident aged 25 years or over as of 26 January 2021, who has contributed in a significant manner to the wider community in a voluntary or paid capacity. (Must be a resident or affiliated with an association or community group within the Hunters Hill LGA).

Young Citizen of the Year

Any young person aged 12 to 24 years old as of 26 January 2021, who has contributed in a significant manner to the wider community or their school community in a voluntary capacity. (Must be a resident or affiliated with an association or community group within Hunters Hill LGA).

Sportsperson of the Year

Any sports person who has achieved outstanding individual results in their chosen sport, or who has contributed significantly to the success of their team. (If nominating an individual they must be a resident or affiliated with an association or community group within the Hunters Hill LGA).

Community Group of the Year

Any community group that has contributed significantly to the well-being of Hunters Hill residents. (Must be a resident or affiliated with an association or community group within the Hunters Hill LGA).

Closing Date

Entries close Monday 7 December 2020. A panel will judge the nominations and winners will be presented with their awards on Australia Day 2021.

Nominations for Hunters Hill Heroes will be considered for Citizen of the Year awards.
