Hunter’s Hill Council has endorsed draft plans for service delivery over the next one to 10 years.

Additional feedback is invited on the strategic documents, which are on public exhibition until 13 June.

Community consultation informed the draft documents presented to a Council meeting on Monday night (16 May, 2022).

They include a draft Community Plan, outlining a vision and framework to guide the aspirations and needs of the Hunters Hill community over the next 10 years.

A draft Delivery Program details a commitment to the community about what the Council will deliver during its term in office to achieve the Community Plan objectives.

A draft Operational Plan and Budget outline the individual projects and activities Council will undertake in 2022-2023. A Long-Term Financial Plan covers a 10-year period.

Draft Fees and Charges proposed for 2022-23 are also on exhibition.

For details, go to www.huntershill.nsw.gov.au/participate or phone 9879 9400.

At Monday night’s meeting, the Council also appointed community representatives to its advisory committees, following an expressions of interest process.

Committees provide opportunities for community representatives to assist in making recommendations to Council on key subject areas and help drive volunteer effort and community participation.

The Council was also provided with an update on proposed changes to the Hunters Hill Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP) and Hunters Hill Consolidated Development Control Plan 2013 (DCP).

A further report will be brought back to the Council on the proposed LEP and DCP changes, with a public exhibition period ahead of any submission to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment for determination.
