Our Council is holding a free textile drop-off event for the community on:

Date: Saturday, 27 May 2023
Time: 10am – 3pm
Location: Clarkes Point car park

We are partnering with Vinnies and textile recovery business BlockTexx for this event.

BlockTexx will collect unwanted clean household linen to be remanufactured into recycled raw materials that can be used to create new products.

BlockTexx accepting:

Tea towels, hand towels, table cloths, napkins, bed sheets, doona covers, pillow cases, bedspreads, towels and face cloths.

Not accepting:

Blankets, cushion covers, throws, doonas and quilts, pillows, waterproof sheets, mattress protectors, plastic-covered cloths, ironing board covers, or oven gloves.

Vinnies will collect wearable clothing, bags and footwear for sale in the charity’s op shops.

Please package your donations for Vinnies and BlockTexx separately for speedy drop off.

Traffic control measures will be in place and the teams are experienced and ready to quickly collect and sort donations for processing.

This project is a NSW Environment Protection Authority initiative funded from the waste levy.
