Hunter’s Hill Council has endorsed the next stages of community consultation for major projects in Gladesville town centre and Figtree Park.
At its meeting tonight (18 October, 2021) the Council resolved that further work be undertaken on a Gladesville Masterplan, in response to public feedback received during August and September.
The feedback, in particular regarding lower building height options, will be considered in early 2022 and placed on public exhibition.
The Masterplan will assist in providing a town centre that is attractive and accessible and offers a wide retail offering, as well as useable open space, and a residential component.
A NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program project for Figtree Park, in Hunters Hill Village, will move to the next phase of consultation to canvass concept designs with the community.
The project proposes the revitalisation and expansion of the park to increase public use of the space.
The feedback from the next participation opportunity will inform the final, detailed design.

Tonight’s was the final meeting for this term of Council. A caretaker period will commence from 5 November, ahead of local government elections on 4 December.
