A new Sydney Water bottle refill station and drinking fountain has been installed at Riverglade Reserve.

Other stations across our local government area will be replaced in due course.

Last year in Hunters Hill, total usage for water stations was 223,108 litres, with 446,216 refills (500ml equivalent) recorded and 371,847 plastic bottles (600ml equivalent) saved, Sydney Water data shows.

This saved 4760 kilograms of plastic from production and therefore litter, landfill and waterways.

The stations provide drinking water to help community members avoid the purchase and use of plastic water bottles.

Carrying a water bottle and using a refill station is a zero-waste option to enjoy high-quality drinking water for free.
