Hunters Hill’s premier carnival event, the Moocooboola Festival is just 9 days away, and this year is being staged in its traditional home at the Town Hall precinct and surrounds.

The line-up will feature plenty of great performances, including local talent, among them the colourful and vibrant stiltwalkers from Art de Masque.

Hunter’s Hill Council is hosting the event on 20 August, from 10am to 4pm, working with a range of local groups and community members to stage the festival.

Community and market stalls, will feature local community groups and local businesses..

The Moocooboola Dog Show will take place at All Saints’ Church with special guest judges. All entrants must pre-register to enter.

Parking will be severely restricted on Alexandra Street to allow for the free event buses to run smoothly and safely. No parking will be available on Alexandra Street and parking in the surrounding areas will be limited. Check the Council website for details and plan your journey using the event buses to and from the Town Hall precinct.

Part of D’Aram St will be closed to accommodate food trucks, with additional food stalls in the Life Congregational Church grounds. D’Aram St will also have displays featuring emergency services and garbage vehicles..

Free live music and performances will run throughout the day at Life Congregational Church, Hunters Hill Public School and in the Town Hall. The school will also host kids’ activities.

Ticketed rides, at the rear of Town Hall, are among the other attractions..

Attendees are also encouraged to dress up to get in to the festival spirit.
