New HHC Deputy Mayor

Hunter’s Hill Council has elected Councillor Jim Sanderson as its new Deputy Mayor.

Clr Sanderson was voted in to the role at a Council meeting tonight (23 September 2019).

Clr Sanderson will serve as Deputy Mayor until the next NSW local government elections, scheduled for September 2020.

He takes over as Deputy Mayor from Clr Ben Collins, who served a one-year term.

Mayor Mark Bennett thanked Clr Collins for his work in the role.

Clr Bennett welcomed Clr Sanderson to the Deputy Mayor’s position.

Clr Sanderson said it was a privilege to become Deputy Mayor.

“I’ll continue to work hard for the community and highlight the many good aspects of the work this Council is performing,” he said.
