Council Services: 2021-22 festive period

Council offices will close at 2pm on 24 December 2021 and reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday 4 January 2022.

Waste collection services will continue as normal. For missed or damaged bin services please call 1300 136 460.

The Community Recycling Centre, at 8 Waltham Street, Artarmon, where you can drop off various household problem waste that cannot go in your kerbside bins, is closed from 12pm on 24 December 2021 and will reopen on 7 January 2022.

Recycle Smart Power Pickup services, to collect recyclables such as soft plastics, e-waste and clothing from households, will be available for bookings for pick-up collections on 29, 30 and 31 of December.

If you are lodging a development application via the e-planning portal, please note that reviews of applications including notifications will recommence from 10 January, 2022.

The YARN library and community space will be closed from 1pm on 24 December 2021 and re-open at 10am on 4 January 2022. An after-hours return box is available outside the arcade at 64 Gladesville Road. Council’s service partner Lane Cove Library will be open on 29 and 30 December 2021 from 9.30am to 5pm and 31 December 2021 from 9.30am to 1pm, then returning to standard hours from 4 January 2022.

The Woolwich Peninsula has traffic controls in place for New Year’s Eve, and access will be restricted. Please refer to Council’s website for latest updates on New Year’s Eve.
