A reverse vending machine will be installed in Henley Community Centre car park, following a decision of Hunter’s Hill Council tonight (23 November, 2020).

The machine accepts empty drink containers from users and provides them with a refund.

It will form part of the NSW Government’s Container Deposit Scheme, known as Return and Earn.

It is expected that installation of the reverse vending machine kiosk will provide benefits in terms of minimising waste and reduction of waste costs.

The meeting also heard that project planning for the delivery of a community and sports facility at Boronia Park was progressing.
