Thank you to all the volunteers who stepped up this Clean Up Australia Day and helped remove litter from our beautiful urban bushland.

Clean Up Australia Day was held in Gladesville Reserve, and Riverglade Reserve on Sunday 5 March 2023.

At Gladesville Reserve – 30 volunteers covered all around the reserve, Betts Park, Huntleys Point Road and Victoria Road adjoining Riverside Girls High. They collected 15 bags mixed waste materials and 2 bags of recyclable containers/bottles.

At Riverglade Reserve – 10 volunteers covered all around the reserve including Tarban Creek. They collected 7 bags mixed waste material and 1 bag of recyclable containers/bottles.

We also extend our thanks to the community members who regularly pick up rubbish as the total rubbish collected was less than the previous years. The Return and Earn container recycling scheme continues to be a big success, with far fewer of these items.
