Clean Up Australia Day was held in Gladesville Reserve, Riverglade Reserve, and Clarkes Point to Kelly’s Bush on Sunday (20 March 2022).

At Gladesville Reserve – 7 volunteers covered all around the reserve, Betts Park, Huntleys Point Road and Victoria Road adjoining Riverside Girls High. They collected 9 bags mixed waste materials and 3 bags of recyclable containers/bottles.

Total rubbish collected was a lot less than in previous years. Results indicate that the Return and Earn container recycling scheme has been a big success (a TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine is located in Henley Community Centre car park), with far fewer of these items this year.

Thanks to all volunteers that pick-up rubbish regularly as well as those participating in Clean Up events.
