Hunters Hill Council adopted the Playspace Strategy 2020 – 2024 in May 2020. This strategy has the intention of nurturing a social, active and connected community. Playspaces can be the heart of a community and an indispensable gathering space that can benefit everyone, regardless of age or ability.
Play provides the opportunity to practice and mastery, including social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. Children are constantly learning through meeting new friends, sharing, taking turns and interacting with other children.
Council’s vision for playspace development and activation is detailed in this 2020 strategy. This document will be updated in 2024. Click here to read more.
