Our Council is undertaking planning to determine future improvements at Gladesville Reserve.
As part of this process, Council has engaged Otium Planning Group to undertake a Recreation Needs Study.
The Gladesville Reserve Recreation Needs Study will involve:
A key focus of this study will be to identify sport infrastructure upgrades. Based on previous engagement findings and community feedback, synthetic playing field surfaces are not being considered as part of the needs assessment.
Otium Planning Group is currently undertaking their background research and analysis of previous reports including consultation findings to date.
Stakeholder engagement is scheduled to be undertaken in June 2022. This engagement is designed to gain a better understanding of facility utilisation and sport infrastructure priorities.
Engaged sub-consultants, SportEng will soon be undertaking soil sampling and testing as part of a ‘field of play’ assessment. This will not impact on current activities and use of the site.

Council has a $2 million grant from the NSW Office of Sport for the upgrade of the playing field at Gladesville Reserve.
