Volunteer Information

Provide your details for an Expression of Interest to be contacted about volunteering for Hunters Hill Art Exhibition during the period of Saturday 29 October to Saturday 26 November.

Community exhibitions depend on enthusiastic volunteers who contribute to making events fun and rewarding experiences for all. Depending on your own interests and availability you may apply to volunteer for any, or all, of the three stages of the exhibition.

Stage 1 (Saturday 29 October – Tuesday 8 November 2022) occurs prior to the opening of the exhibition. It involves working as part of a team to take delivery of selected artworks from the artists (accessioning); including safely receiving, handling, hanging and mapping artworks. Only pre-selected artworks will be delivered to the Town Hall, and artwork administration will take place via a specialist app.

Stage 2 (Thursday 10 November – Sunday 20 November 2022) is the exhibition period itself. Volunteers for this stage will be providing customer service to visitors. The Exhibition Catalogue and Artwork Sales process will be fully online.

Stage 3 (Sunday 20 November – Saturday 26 November 2022) occurs after the exhibition closes. It involves working as a team to pack-down art and equipment from the exhibition space. Volunteers will also perform administrative and handling tasks around collection of artworks by Artists and Buyers. Many of the administrative processes will take place via the specialist app.

As a volunteer Exhibition Assistant, you will receive:

• Work experience in arts and events management

• A personal reference (as required)

• A Certificate of Achievement from the Mayor of Hunters Hill
