Update (1 April): Tonight’s event is going ahead! See the program below. In case of wet weather, entertainment and workshops will move inside our local restaurants and community spaces.
Come and explore Hunters Hill Village on April Fools Night as we celebrate Festival of Fools.
Hunter’s Hill Council is creating pop-up outdoor dining and entertainment spaces in the Village precinct as part of the NSW Government’s Festival of Place initiative. Spend an evening reconnecting with local businesses, catching up with friends, eating tasty take-away and watching fabulously quirky performances.
Join in a Treasure Hunt, take a Morris Dancing class or make a kid-sized Jester Hat at The Yarn.
This page will be updated with more event details closer to the date.
Jester-hatted Ibis will be hiding around the Village. Try and spot them as you explore Hunter’s Hill Village during the Festival of Fools.
Instructions for the Treasure Hunt are coming soon.
Black Joak Morris will be dancing foolishly throughout the evening. Just listen for the sound of jangling bells and clashing sticks in a celebration of English Folk Dance.
A FREE (and simple) dance workshop will be held at approximately 7pm. No bookings required.
Black Joak will be dancing at the Joubert Plaza (71-75 Gladesville Road)

Kid’s of all ages are invited to attend a FREE paper Jester Hat making workshop in the Yarn (our digital library and community space in the heart of Hunter’s Hill Village). All materials will be provided, but spaces are limited.
We’d love to see a sea of Jester Hats around the Village during the festival. Even if you can’t attend the workshop, you can always make your own hat using these handy templates and instructions.
