July 2022
The YARN, 64 Gladesville Road, Hunters Hill, NSW 2110
Celebrate NAIDOC Week – NAIDOC Reading Challenge: July.
National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week is observed in Australia every July. This year, you’re encouraged to “Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!” to help amplify the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Throughout July, members aged 0 to 17 of our Shorelink library network are encouraged to read 10 books written by Indigenous Australian authors or illustrators. When you complete this NAIDOC Week challenge you can collect an activity pack from your local library.
Young people and their carers should log each book they finish on Beanstack to acquire badges or complete the paper challenge sheet available at any Shorelink Library.
Visit the Beanstack website at shorelink.beanstack.com and sign in as a member of Shorelink Libraries, or with the Beanstack App. Free activity. No booking required.
