Litter clean up at Tarban Creek

September 25, 2022
9am - 11am
Meet at Carpark cnr Manning Road and Tarban St, Hunter’s Hill

Join Hunters Hill Bushcare in cleaning up the beautiful bushland along Tarban Creek as we move downstream from the carpark into the Riverglade Reserve. Tarban Creek flows in the Parramatta River and then into Sydney Harbour. Litter cleaned from creeks is vitally important action for habitat protection, both in creeks and the ocean.

This is an opportunity to find out more about the fauna that lives in the reserve. At 10:00 am, a Sydney Wildlife volunteer will give a talk about Flying-foxes, and Council staff will talk about the Eastern Long-Neck Turtles found in the ponds of Tarban Creek and plans to rehabilitate their habitat. You can also chat to the PRCG rep on how other parts of the Parramatta River catchment are being restored and protected.

All bags, gloves, sunscreen, hand sanitiser, and insurance provided. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, long sleeved shirt, hat and bring a refillable water bottle.

This event is ideal for adults and kids aged 7+.
