Development Control Unit

Development Control Meetings are held every Tuesday afternoon (when necessary).

Any application that receives from two to nine submissions and complies with statutory requirements are referred to this unit for determination under Delegated Authority. Please note that the DCU delegations have recently changed and the date that you lodged your application/the number of submissions received will dictate if your application is referred to the DCU for determination, please see further information on this below under “DCU Delegations.”

If a Development Application is to be discussed at the meeting the applicant and any person that made a submission are notified up to a week prior to the meeting and the agenda including the Council Officer’s report are published on Council’s website to view.

The applicant and those who made a submission are given an opportunity to speak at the meeting regarding the development application before the Chair determines the application.
