About the Presenters:
Jenny Bray – Jenny has over 27 years experience working in the community care and community services industries, assisting over 300 organisations to respond successfully to community needs and changing environments. Since 1998 Jenny has been an independent consultant and trainer to the community care, aged care, disability support, early childhood intervention and Local Government sectors in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory.
Alan Powys – Alan is the Team Leader of the Regional Assessment Service in the NSW Health Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). The Commonwealth Department of Health Regional Assessment Service (RAS) is a face to face assessment service undertaken by a trained Home Support Assessor to work out your aged care service needs and to refer you to appropriate ageing services.

in this practical workshop creating your own edible herb basket, and celebrate the NSW Seniors Festival theme of “In Our Nature”.
Meredith will talk through the basics of growing herbs, but also elaborate on what the not for profit group Easy Care Gardening Incorporated does in the area. She will explain some tips and tricks on crafting your own easy care garden, and take you through the basics of volunteering or accessing the gardening services that Easy Care Gardening provides. If you’d like to know more about either topic, come along to find out more.
