Council is committed to supporting people with disabilities and their carers. We have information available on access in and around Hunters Hill including locations of accessible public toilets and facilities with hearing loops.
Council also has information on services available to support people with a disability and their carers. Information on transport, meals, home maintenance and a range of other options is available.
Council has an Access Committee consisting of dedicated residents, carers, volunteers and Council representatives. This Committee advises Council and provides an avenue for exchanging ideas and information on disability issues. It aims to challenge and remove barriers, both social and physical, that prevent people from participating fully and safely in the community.
