Ryde Police Area Command will enact a rolling road closure from approximately 6.40pm along Alexandra Street between Ferry Street and Stanley Road. Please note that access to Alexandra Street from the adjacent side streets (Ellesmere Avenue, Ernest Street, and Ady Street) will also be affected whilst the March is progress.
The ANZAC March will step off from outside the RSL Memorial Hall (56 Alexandra Street) at 6.45pm and arrive at Hunters Hill Town Hall (22 Alexandra Street) at approximately 7.00pm.
D’Aram Street will also be closed from the Hunter’s Hill Council Car Park to Alexandra Street. No public parking will be available in the Council Car Park or directly outside the Town Hall.
Police will open the roads after the March when they deem it safe to do so. Please obey all instructions from Ryde Police Area Command and Hunter’s Hill Council Officers.
This closure is expected to have minimal impact on local residents. Access via Ferdinand, Madeline and Ferry streets (via Lloyd Avenue), as well as Stanley Road will be maintained. Please consider limiting travel in the area between 6.30pm and 7.15pm.
This is a temporary disruption to normal traffic patterns. We appreciate your support and we thank you for your cooperation.
