Hunters Hill 2040 – Have your say

Hunters Hill Council adopted the draft Hunters Hill Local Strategic Planning Statement for public exhibition at its meeting on Monday, 9 September 2019.

Council is planning a vision for the future of the Hunters Hill and wants to hear what’s important to the community.

Our draft Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) informs land use planning in the local government area for the next 20 years.

It sets out:

• Council’s and the community’s vision for land use in the local government area;
• the special characteristics that contribute to our local identity;
• shared community values to be maintained and enhanced; and
• how growth and change will be managed into the future.

Five local precincts are the focus for Council’s initiatives under the LSPS:

• Hunters Hill Village
• Woolwich Corner Village/Garibaldi Village
• Boronia Park Village
• Gladesville Town Centre
• Gladesville Hospital Precinct

Council is seeking community feedback on the draft LSPS, which builds on the work of the recently-adopted Community Strategic Plan (CSP), as well as other consultations as part of 2018 ‘Your Place’ Precinct Meetings and recent work by Place Partners.

Attend a workshop:

• LSPS and Hunters Hill Village – Gladesville Community Centre – Wednesday 25 September – 5.30pm to 6.30pm
• LSPS and Gladesville Town Centre – Hunters Hill Council Chambers  – Thursday 26 September – 6.00pm to 7.00pm

Visit a pop-up kiosk:

• Boronia Park centre/precinct – Thursday 19 September  11am – 2pm
• Gladesville town centre/precinct and Henley/Huntleys Point precinct – Saturday 21 September  10am – 1pm
• Woolwich Corner and Garibaldi Inn Corner precinct – Thursday 26 September  11am – 2pm
• Hunters Hill village/precinct – Saturday 28 September  10am – 1pm

The draft LSPS is on public exhibition until Friday 25 October.
