Hunter’s Hill Council resolved on October 28, 2019, to exhibit the Draft Boronia Park Plan of Management (PoM). The draft PoM and an associated Landscape Concept Plan are on exhibition, with public comment received until March 6, 2020.

It follows months of research and extensive community consultation.

As part of this process, a public hearing for the proposed park categorisations will be held from 6pm to 8:30pm on Thursday February 27, 2020, at Hunters Hill Town Hall, 22 Alexandra Street, Hunters Hill.

Further information regarding the public hearing:

The scope of the public hearing is to receive verbal and written submissions about the proposed categorisation and any issues which may impact on categorisation.  Other issues can be raised in a written submission as part of the public exhibition.

Submissions for the February 27 public hearing may be made:

  • verbally at the public hearing;
  • in writing and given to the Chair at the public hearing; or
  • in writing, made after the public hearing, until March 6, 2020.  These may be sent to Alan Ginns of Gondwana Consulting as detailed below.

The draft POM will remain open for public feedback until March 6, 2020.

The draft PoM includes objectives, describes current uses and conditions, details proposed actions and management strategies and provides a concept plan.
