Hunter’s Hill Council has a vast network of cycling tracks. Whether you want to cycle work, cycle to school, cycle to do your shopping, cycle to visit friends or just cycle for relaxation there is a pathway near you.
Council has constructed a small cycle track at Buffalo Creek Reserve near the playground equipment. Its a great place for the children to learn the road rules and its safe!
The Hunters Hill Bike Route is a 6 km circular route around Hunters Hill designed for recreational bike riding. The track includes some beautiful waterfront parks and off road paths. However, some on-road riding is required. Please give way to pedestrians on a shared cycleway. Follow the blue ‘Hunters Hill Bike Route’ signs and enjoy your ride. A map of the route can be downloaded here.
Over the past few years Council has developed, and continues to develop a system of cycleways which, when complete will link Hunters Hill to Lane Cove, Ryde and Canada Bay. A Northern Sydney Cycling Map can be obtained from Council that identifies bike routes in Hunters Hill and surrounding councils.
Bicycle North has a strong presence in the northern suburbs and is continually organising interesting bike rides for all grades of cyclists.
