October 27, 2019
11 am to 12 pm
Meet at Bedlam Oval near the toilet block in the Gladesville Hospital grounds, enter via the Punt Road gate next to the Police Station.
Come along and help us plant a small bird habitat haven at Bedlam Bay, Parramatta River Regional Park. Bedlam Bay is an important link in a habitat corridor running along the lower Parramatta River. This corridor is home to Fairy wrens (pictured), Silvereyes, Red-browed finches and White-browed scrub wrens. You can help them survive by planting protective native plants.
No experience necessary for this fun activity, suitable for all the family. Tools, and gloves will be provided. Please wear sunscreen, a hat, long sleeve shirt and closed shoes. A community event “Bedlam in the Bay” will be held at the same time that day on Bedlam Bay oval, so after the planting you can wander around the stalls and meet the local community.
