Public exhibition of Draft Long Term Financial Plan & Budget 2013/14 to 2022/23

In accordance with section 405 of the NSW Local Government Act (1993) and Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Hunter’s Hill Council Draft Long Term Financial Plan 2013/14 – 2022/23 has been placed on public exhibition, for community comment.

The Draft Long Term Financial Plan describes the Council operations and asset maintenance programs for the next ten years and provides a corresponding budget for this period. The plan includes Council's Revenue Policy indicating proposed rates and charges for the 2013/14 financial year.

The budget presented for 2013-14 has a small surplus, while maintaining the current level of services. There is a 3.4% ordinary rate increase, which is the maximum allowable rate pegging limit announced by the Minister for Local Government, a special rate variation of 5.27% to replace the expiring Special Rate and a 2.0% increase to improve the Council’s financial sustainability is proposed.

All interested parties are invited to view copies of the documents and provide feedback to Council. The draft plan is on exhibition at the following locations:

  • Gladesville Branch Library, Pittwater Road, Gladesville

Written submissions, addressed to the General Manager will be received up until 4.30pm Tuesday 16 July 2013 and should be forwarded to PO Box 21, Hunters Hill NSW 2110 or by email.
