Nominations for the Hunter’s Hill Council Environment Projects and Advisory Group

The Hunters Hill community has a proud environmental history, beautiful natural areas and waterways, and Hunter’s Hill Council is calling for nominations from community members for the establishment of an Environment Projects and Advisory Group (EPaAG) to continue this legacy.

Meetings are held quarterly, on Wednesdays at 6.00pm. The Group will advise Council about environmental issues and assist Council Environment Staff with two small on-ground projects each year. Examples of projects include assisting with environmental education, waste reduction and sustainability initiatives in the community and at festivals, schools, community groups and business. No previous experience is required and representatives from all age groups and sectors of the Hunter Hill LGA community are encouraged to apply. The EPaAG replaces the previous Sustainability and Biodiversity Committee (SaBAC). Members of the Working Group will be appointed for a four year term until September 2016.

Nominations are invited and will be received up until Friday 1 March, 2013. Application forms are available from the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall, available for download below, or by phone on 9879 9400.
