Young In Art 2012

The Young In Art Exhibition is a very special local event that connects the local Schools of Hunters Hill. This Exhibition recognises the talents of young people. This Exhibition encourages students to be creative and pursue artistic and creative endeavours.

Opening Night:
Hunters Hill Town Hall

6pm Wednesday 24 October 2012
And continues Thursday - Sunday
25 + 26 October 10am - 4pm
27 + 28 October 11pm - 3pm

The Exhibition is broken up into specific categories Kindergarten, Yrs 1-2, Yrs 3-4, Yrs 5-6, Yrs 7-8, Yrs 9-10, Yrs 11-12, Groupwork , 3D –Ceramic and Photo/Mixed Media.

An overall prize winners will be announced for both the primary and secondary sections. In addition, both the primary and secondary section winners have their artwork framed and hung in the Council foyer for a one year period. Their artwork will be returned to them at the Opening Night of the following year.

Highly Commended and Commended Awards are also presented in each section opening night.

Schools taking part in the Exhibition include Hunters Hill Primary School, Villa Maria Parish School, Boronia Park Primary School, Gladesville Primary School, Marist Sisters College, Hunters Hill High School, St Josephs College, and Riverside Girls High School.

The Exhibition is coordinated by the Young In Art committee which consists of the teachers from each School and Council’s staff.
