Hunters Hill Art Exhibition

The annual Hunters Hill Art Exhibition began in 1955 and is the longest continuously running exhibition in NSW. Public awareness of the exhibition has grown over the last few years and it now offers an increased number of prizes and categories.


Entries for the 65th Annual Hunters Hill Art Exhibition are now open.

How to Enter

Artists can download an entry form from this page (see download link below), from www.huntershillart.com (see website link below) or collect a paper version from Council.

To enter and pay online go to https://www.trybooking.com/BBCPN (see website link below).

Entries close on Friday 29 March 2019 and are limited to 4 artworks per artist.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteering to help during the Hunters Hill Art Exhibition is a fun and rewarding experience. This Exhibition depends on enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the day to day operations, and even just committing to one day is very helpful.

Student Placement

For Students in Year 10 or above, contact Gabby Cleary on events@huntershill.nsw.gov.au and ask for a Student Volunteer Form - to find out about dates, times, locations and the permission requirements from your parents and school.

Hunters Hill Art Prize

The Hunters Hill Art Prize has changed to include eligibility of all selected entries, including sculpture.

Water Colour Prize

Introducing Watercolour Prize to recognise the artists who seek to master this medium.

Smaller Works Prize

The 9 x 5 category has been renamed ‘Smaller Works’. Artists are now free to enter paintings or drawings up to and no larger than A 4, or 29.7 x 21 cm (Painted Area).


If you do want to sell your art, we advise that it is sensibly priced artworks that sell.

Opening Night

Opening Night is 10 May 2019. All attending must obtain tickets, which will be available online, from Council and on the Night.
