New Year’s Eve 2010 Traffic and Public Transport

The Hunters Hill peninsula will be closed at Church Street overpass from 1.00pm on New Year’s Eve, Friday 31 December, until midnight.
The purpose of the road closure is to regulate the volume of traffic entering the Hunters Hill peninsula and to prevent congestion and parking problems. This will ensure public safety and emergency access.

Entry Passes

A limited number of entry passes will be available for friends and family of residents and commer-cial businesses on the peninsula.
Residents will need to show proof of residency, for example a driver’s licence or rates notice to obtain their entry passes.
Residents who obtained entry passes last year can collect the same number of passes again from the Council’s Customer Service Centre.
A maximum number of two passes per household will be available.
If residents require additional passes they will need to show photos or plans to demonstrate that more than two cars can be parked within their property. Residents are asked to encourage guests to carpool.
Passes, are available now from Council’s Customer Service Centre. Office hours are Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 4.30pm.

Park and Ride

Parking will be available for visitors at Boronia Park. The cost of the parking will be $5 per car. State Transit will be running a shuttle bus service to Clarkes Point from 2pm to 1am with four pick up points:
1. Cnr Park & Ryde Rd, Hunters Hill
