Gladesville Road Community Facility Concept Plan and Business Feasibility Study

Hunter’s Hill Council and the NSW Land and Property Management Authority (LPMA) have engaged Insite Economic and Social Planning (Insite) to prepare a concept plan and business feasibility study for the Gladesville Road community facility precinct.

The Study is to facilitate the possible future development of this site. Given the location of the site, its utilisation and proximity to the Hunters Hill Village, the project will need to:

a) Enhance Hunter’s Hill Village and be in keeping with the core objectives outlined in the Council’s planning documents.

b) Provide a high quality multi-purpose community facility hub for residents and community organisations.

c) Create linkages between the site, the existing shopping area and Figtree Park.

d) Encourage an appropriate mix of commercial/ private sector development of the site that contribute to Hunters Hill commercial and retail CBD.

e) Be undertaken within the financial resources available to Council.

Community input is an essential component of this project. A range of consultations are to be undertaken during June to provide an opportunity for the Hunters Hill community (incorporating residents, business owners, community organizations) to participate in the development of the concept plan for the site.
A workshop for people from the general community interested in the project will be held on:

Wednesday 30 June 6-8pm at Gladesville Rd Community Centre, 44 Gladesville Rd, Hunters Hill.
