Proposed Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan of the Gladesville Village Centre

Further to Council’s exhibition of the Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plan (DCP) for the Gladesville Village Centre, it is advised that there was a drafting error on the Building of Heights Map for the properties fronting Victoria Road, from Massey Street to Cowell Street, Gladesville.

It was not anticipated to amend the LEP, Building of Heights Map for the properties fronting Victoria Road between Massey Street and Cowell Street and that area was to remain unaltered having Building Heights from 19 metres (Q) and 16 metres (Q2). Please find below the amended Height of Building Map.

The proposed LEP and DCP is to amend the previous height controls of 27 metres (T2) to 34 metres (U) in respect of No’s 2-10 Cowell Street and 1-7 Flagstaff Street, Gladesville as shown on Building of Heights Map now being exhibited. The proposed LEP also includes amendments to the Heritage Conservation Area to ensure that the whole of the former Heritage Conservation Area (part of the area on the north eastern side of Victoria Road between Junction Street and Hillcrest Avenue) is protected and implemented in the new plans.

Hunter’s Hill Council invites community input to help finalise these draft plans. The documents together with supporting information, will be on public exhibition between Wednesday 18 August 2010 and Wednesday 15 September 2010 at Council offices, Alexandra Street, Hunters Hill, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday and at the Gladesville Library during normal opening hours.

Submissions must be in writing and received by Council no later than 4.00pm on Wednesday 15 September 2010. Please note that written submissions should be addressed to the General Manager, and include a daytime contact telephone number and where possible, an email contact address. All submission(s) become public documents and may be viewed or copied upon request by any person.

Please note, if you have previously lodged a submission that addressed any matter other that the proposed height controls fronting Victoria Road, that will be considered by Council in assessing the Planning Proposal and you will not need to respond to this exhibition.

The ‘Standard Planning Instrument’ issued by NSW Government Planning substantially governs the content and operation of the Proposed Local Environmental Plan and accordingly, any submissions should have regard to the requirements of that instrument.

Should you have any enquiries please contact Council’s Strategic Planner, Bruce McDonald or Council’s Group Manager, Development & Regulatory Control, Steve Kourepis on 9879 9400 between the hours of 8.30am-10.00am Monday to Friday.
