Recognising Hunters Hill Day

Following an enduring campaign by the community and action by Council, Council received official notification on 31 July 2018 that the government had withdrawn its proposal to amalgamate, after the NSW Court of Appeal declared that this amalgamation proposal was invalid.

Council proposes to adopt 31 July each year as ‘Hunters Hill Day’ and comments are invited from members of the community on the Council’s intent to recognise a day for the community to celebrate its local identity, shared values and independence.

Submissions on the proposal will be received up until 4.30pm Friday 19 October 2018 and should be addressed to The General Manager, P.O. Box 21 Hunters Hill or delivered to the Council Administration Centre, 22 Alexandra Street, Hunters Hill.
