Night work on Burns Bay Road from Wednesday 6 December

The NSW Government is funding this essential maintenance work under its $1.5 billion program to maintain and improve the 18,028 kilometre state road network

Roads and Maritime Services will be removing and replacing large sections of asphalt and repainting road markings on Burns Bay Road between The Avenue and Church Street.

The maintenance work aims to prevent or minimise damage to roads from weather and wear and tear to make them safer, provide consistent driving conditions and reduce maintenance costs in the long term.

Work schedule
Crews will be on site for seven shifts between Wednesday 6 December and Thursday 14 December, weather permitting. Work hours will be between 8pm and 5am from Sunday to Friday.

How will the work affect you?
The work may be noisy at times but the contractors will do everything that that they can to minimise its impact, including completing the noisier tasks by 11pm.

Access to some homes and businesses may be affected during shift hours but traffic controllers will be on hand to make sure you can enter and leave as required. Access to bus stops may also be affected, but traffic controllers will direct you to temporary stopping points nearby.

Traffic changes
There will be temporary traffic changes during our work hours to ensure the work zone is safe. Up to date information on the work will be displayed on electronic message boards along the road.

Lane closures will be in place and may affect travel times. Please keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllers’ directions. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.

If you have any questions, please contact Downer EDI, on 1300 776 069 or communityrelations.psmc@downergroup.com.

Thank you for your patience during this important work.
