Thinking of Becoming a Councillor

Are you looking to get involved in your local community? Have you thought about becoming a Councillor? Come and find out more about what it’s like to be an elected member of your local council.

An information session will be held on Wednesday 26 July 2017 at 7pm in the Town Hall, 22 Alexandra Street Hunters Hill. This session will assist prospective candidates gain a better understanding of the role and responsibilities of an elected member of Council. A representative from Local Government NSW will present on a range of topics.

Attendance at the seminar is free but RSVPs are essential and should be forwarded to Wendy McGuirk 98799457 or email mcguirkw@huntershill.nsw.gov.au by Monday 24 July 2017.

Nominations for the election open on Monday 31 July and close at 12 noon on Wednesday 9 August 2017. Elections will take place on Saturday, 9 September 2017.
