2015 Guringai Festival

Council is pleased to participate in the 2015 Guringai Festival which celebrates aboriginal culture and heritage in the Northern Sydney region.

Two events are being held in Hunters Hill.

  • Talk “Bennelong; In England and After” which will be held at the Gladesville Rd Community Centre, 44 Gladesville Rd, Hunters Hill on Wednesday 3 June 10am-12 noon. It is a free event and will be a wonderful opportunity to hear two experts in the field, Keith Vincent Smith & Peter Mitchell, speak about the life of Woollarawaree Bennelong, one of the most significant figures in Australian history.
  • We will also be hosting the Northside Aboriginal Artists Exhibition which will be held in conjunction with the Hunters Hill Art Exhibition at the Hunters Hill Art Gallery in Garibaldi Inn, 37 Alexandra St, Hunters Hill between 12-24 May.

Further information about events in northern Sydney can be found in information below or at guringaifestival.com.au.
